What is climatology? The word ‘climatology’ is a derivation from the Greek word Klimo which means an incline, or slope. This refers to the angle of incidence of the sun’s rays striking a particular place. This in turn affects the climate of that particular place. Climate considers the parameters of tem- perature, pressure, humidity, wind and precipitation.
